About this blog…

Coucou, welcome to my food and travel diary!
I’m Sandra, a smiley yet feisty Egyptian, living in London since 2012. I’m an Astronomer by degree, so quite scientific in many ways but in the last few years, I discovered my passion for food and travel. To me, they are perfectly coupled and a keen traveller tends to be curious when it comes to food and local cuisines.

If you know me, you’ll probably realise that I have the biggest sweet tooth on Earth. I can easily go on till dinner without anything savoury. However, over the years, I seem to have really developed a different palette and I have become a lot more open-minded when it comes to trying unusual combinations, flavours and textures. I truly believe that life is too short to be wasted on bad quality (and junk) food.
This blog is simply all about my experiences and my personal suggestions of places to try and visit. I have so much to say about every place I go to so what better way to do it than here? I must admit that my photography skills really need a lot of work so be patient and I will hopefully get better at it soon (practice makes perfect!).
I hope you enjoy it and I’d love to hear about what you think too.
